Launched in October 2022, the foundation’s initial focus is on using Gary’s knowledge of golf and tuition to introduce people to the sport who wouldn’t ordinarily get the chance.

It works with schools and organisations that provide community programmes to extol the benefits of golf, not least the residual benefits, including improving confidence, enhancing life skills and, most importantly, mental health wellbeing.

The foundation also emphasises the importance of setting goals and achieving them.

Golf can also help improve behaviour plus there is also the considerable physical benefits.

Long term, the foundation will ultimately help those who would like employment in the industry and create a pathway into the game for those who show enough willing and ability.
